About
Extensive study facilities (and a silence area), free wireless internet, Xbox, Wii and Playstation games, over 25,000 dvd's, 750,000 books, comics and ebooks, 2,500 magazines and journals, 50,000 cd's, 50,000 items of sheet music and a variety of workhops, exhibitions, concerts and lectures. Your Student Card offers you the same functionalities as a normal library card does. You can activate your card for free at the Central Library at Spui 68. The Hague Student Card holders are entitled to free membership of the library until September 2011. You can activate your card in the Central Library on Spui. Don’t forget to bring valid proof of identity with you, and a document containing your present address, such as your phone bill or bank statement. You can use your student card as a library card as soon as you’ve activated it. If you lose your card, report this to the library as soon as possible. You can do this by calling the lending administration department on 070 353 4455. They will then block your card so that nobody else can use it. This is important because you’re always personally responsible for materials borrowed with your card, even if you’ve lost the card. Although you can only activate your card at the Central Library, you can use the card at any branch of the public library afterwards.
